making pretty things with glass......

B-Two. This was a companion piece to the Bottecelli, a smaller piece, but none the less striking. The subtle pink, shell-like colors mimic days of sun and beach bleaching, or the newness of a baby's skin. Just never put baby in a corner. Sorry, could not resist....

The more I listen, the more I think there is much, much more to this story. It's not the first time I named one for her. But now that a year has passed, I see there is much more to know. I think she has a sort of vulnerability, not unlike that of Holly Golightly of Breakfast at Tiffany's fame. So, the name on this one fits. And I like this one better than the original. Someday, I will know more about her. But right now, this is enough. When she is ready.
This beautiful and vulnerable pin measures 5" x 2" and is made of all sorts of beautiful and fully annealed glass. All wired into a study pin back made by me. The polymer clay backing will not allow the wires to snag your black cashmere sweater, or the fancy dress you plan to wear to the opera either.

Patti

Patti is a sweetheart. She is the beautiful matriarch of a beautiful family. She is the center of the nucleus but her own woman as well. Her children are smart and successful. Now, what will she do now? We can't wait to see. This pin is full of bright spots, just like Patti. It measures 4 inches by 3 inches and made of fully annealed glass, wire and a sturdy pin back. It's designed in the floral tradition.
